I still need to get a flex pipe made and order some heat wrap. I did buy 07GTPBlackAndTan's dyno tuned ECU so that I can run catless and not have any issues. The flex pipe and ECU were really the only things holding me back. I'm going to an exhaust shop this week to see if they can fab up a flex pipe for me. I should be putting them in this coming month.

the stock flex pipe will bolt up to the GTR and the headers......i just replaced mine with the milzy flex pipe because the stock one is tiny and the flex section rattle like crazy........ the milzy uncatted one is only $150 if i remember right and 100% stainless and very high quality they even used stainless filler rods unlike the local exhaust shops here when i had my resonator welded in...
just wondering why you bought nates ECM when you could just send your ecm back to wams and have it changed for the headers.... because your already gonna have to send this one in for a vin change and wams is definately better than vector is especially now
If I ran the stock flex pipe it would create a bottleneck. Y-Pipe outlet is 3" where the GTR Exhaust is 2.5" I thought about ordering Milzy's flex pipe but i think I can have something made locally cheaper and I wasn't really happy with dealing with him. Not sure that I want to give him any more of my money. I am going to have a catted flex pipe made with a Magnaflow cat that I bought for when I have to run emissions.
If I remember correctly, Chris said it couldn't Just be adjusted for headers, it would have to be retuned on a dyno. I only paid $50 for Nate's dyno tuned ECM and it's only going to cost me $75 for a VIN change. Not a bad deal considering we have the same setup. It will work for now.

never said the stock flex pipe was good enough was just saying if thats all that was holding you up the stock one will fit till u get one made.......
never had to have my car dyno tuned for the headers, about all they do is just delete the secondary 02 sensors from the ECM and disable any codes related to the secondary 02s from being thrown.......
Wrapped and installed the Milzy Motorsports headers.
Wasn't happy with how the GTR exhaust sounded with the headers so I went with a different axle back set up and it sounds much better. I looks like it will flow much better too.

It's not the original GTR muffler. I replaced it with another Magnaflow muffler of the same dimensions and with the u-bend bolts up like the GTR muffler but it actually flows out of both sides. The GTR piping until the Y-Pipe is still on the car.
I'll get some sound clips up very soon. I should have taken some before sound clips to show how much better it sounds. I never heard Brian's BlackBeauty but I'm pretty sure my car sounded about like his does. (Similar setup)
