    Re: Ungerdog's GTP Progression...mods underway, pics pg.4, 5

I got an update on the hood. It will be here on June 2nd. Since the hood keeps getting delayed due to GM back order, we are proceeding with the other mods now. The GM body kit, recessed grilles, replacement headlight and repainted front bumper are going today. It should be finished by tomorrow. I snapped a couple of pictures just after the body kit was put on. I will get more pictures out once the whole thing is done. Prob Thursday.

Done: G6 2009.5 spoiler, Eibach Springs, Disc Italia cross-drilled and slotted rotors, Disc Italia ceramic brake pads, GT-R Exhaust, CRAB Intake, GM body kit, G6 GXP Street Edition Hood, recessed upper/lower grilles painted matte satin silver, red brake calipers w/decals, 35% tint
Electric Blue body color matched: Stock GTP rims on inner portion only, Racingline strut bar, engine cover, battery cover & interior trim pieces

Looks great! Never understood why Pontiac used the woodgrain trim in some GTP's. They only thing I don't like on your car is the red brake calipers. I love everything else though!

Back in Dec. 2006 the car was hit by some lady driving a brand new Excursion. She clipped the front end while crossing a parking lot. It tore the bumper off. The vehicle was repaired, but recently I have noticed paint peeling in a corner. In addition, a seal has gone bad on a headlight and water gets inside. So I decided to have the front bumper repainted (which will eliminate all of the rock chips also). Since the bumper is off, I might as well get that headlight replaced and recessed grilles put in.

The next round of mods are finished. Body kit is on, recessed grilles are in, headlight replaced, front bumper repainted.
I will post another set of photos once the hood goes on.

The recessed grilles are painted matte satin silver. They appear more white in the pictures than they do in person. The silver looks great. I probably just need a better camera.

Too bad Virginia requires that front plate. This thing looked great without it.
